Please read this text carefully and don’t panic, we are legally required to include the whole scoop. We’ve put the most important stuff in bold. Quarantines are arranged by Quarantine Events. All information is given in good faith.

1. First, when booking our events you automatically accept these terms and conditions.
2. Second, it is your responsibility to be in possession of a valid passport or identification card, as well as any visas, permits, certificates, or other documents needed for your entire journey, including medical certificates.
3. Third, and most importantly, the admission process will follow a first come, first serve (review, assess and respond) basis.
4. Registration to any Quarantine event implies acceptance of any and all rules and regulations established for and by the event. This includes a strict commitment to the non-possession and use of cell phones at all times while on Lazaretto Island.

1. You must be physically and mentally fit for the proposed activities before arrival. If you have any doubts about this, please contact us to explain any medical conditions that may affect the running of the art events. Some workshops and boot camps may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions.
2. The very nature of some of these Quarantines (particularly those held out of the classrooms) involve visiting a variety of outdoor and indoor locations. Some of our activities can be somewhat more risky (countryside, villages, harbors, boats…). We do our very best to keep you safe, but it is in all cases your responsibility to use your best judgment and sense to ensure your own personal safety.

Once your application is accepted, we’ll hold your spot for 7 days (except for final spots available, shorter hold period), until your registration and payment are received. Credit/debit card payment is immediate through our payment platform. For payment made by bank transfer, we will confirm your admission as soon as the transaction clears our account.

1. Quarantine Events reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions, if necessary, at any time. Changes will be published on Quarantine’s website and communicated via email.
2. Quarantine Events reserves the right to modify prices, class size, services, or content at any time.
3. Quarantine Events reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event if we don’t reach the required minimum number of participants. In this case, we would notify you at least 30 days prior to the event’s start date.
4. If we cancel an event, we will fully refund all your payments. Refunds are limited to total payments made to Quarantine Events.
5. Quarantine Events will not be liable for any consequential loss of any kind, no matter how such loss is incurred. So, we strongly suggest not purchasing plane and hotel tickets until we confirm the Quarantine Event.
6. In the rare case that the designated mentor cannot attend due to illness, force majeure or other uncontrollable circumstances, we will find solutions to substitute for this absence. If a mentor has to depart after the event has started, we will provide a alternative.
7. Flexibility is required from all parties, and alternative plans may be necessary due to weather or local conditions. The itinerary and outdoor workshop description are not binding, but are merely an indication of potential event activities.
8. Weather-related issues: Please note that rain and/or strong wind may occur during the event week, but this usually will not cause significant disruption. In rare cases, the weather may be so severe that waves or wind in the Port of Maó make the ferry to Lazaretto Island inoperable (this happens 1-2 days per year). In this case, Quarantine will not be held responsible and will not provide reimbursement for the missed day. However, we will provide a great “Plan B” for that day.

1. Registration fees are neither fully refundable, transferable nor exchangeable.
2. Cancellations: If you decide to cancel, you must properly notify us in advance by email.
3. The % refund applicable depends on WHEN you notify us of your cancellation:
• More than 90 days: 70% refund
• 90 to 61 days: 50% refund
• 60 to 31 days: 30% refund
• 30 days or less prior to the start of the Quarantine event: no refund
4. These percentages are calculated based on the total cost of attending the event, and not the amount paid to date, in the case of partial or installment payments.

PS – We are truly sorry, but we have to pay for everything anyway.

If cancellation is covered under the terms of your private insurance policy you may be able to claim such charges to your insurance company.

1. The booking process will follow a first come, first serve basis.
2. Phones, pets and illegal substances are prohibited on the island.
3. The facilities, services, and instruction provided during these Quarantines are for the exclusive use of our clients. Guests are not allowed without the express permission of Quarantine Events.

• An assistant will greet you and take you to the Lazaretto Island by boat from the Calesfonts harbor. Once you arrive on the islet, our staff will welcome you and assist you with your initial needs.
• Missed ferries: Quarantine will provide you with the exact schedule for ferry operations from Calesfonts to the Lazaretto Island in the morning, as well as for the return trip at the end of the day. If for any reason you should miss the last ferry to the event in the morning or back to Calesfonts in the evening, Quarantine shall not be held responsible for your private transportation or for missing a day of the event. We will of course do anything we can to provide you with information on water taxi services or other options. (Please be on time!)

1. Neither Quarantine Events nor their staff/representatives/assigns shall be liable for any injuries or health problems during your stay.
2. Quarantine Events and its associates are not responsible for any stolen property on Lazaretto Island. It’s a private environment and there’s nothing to fear. But we suggest you keep your belongings safe.
3. You registration acts as the signing of a document stating that you are responsible for all of your actions, safety, and risks you may take during the event.
4. Quarantine Events does not accept responsibility or liability for death, bodily harm or illness caused to the client or any other person included on the application form. Any claims shall be subject to Spanish Law with regard to any issues of liability or compensation.
5. Your own private insurance policy must cover any situations that may arise such as accident, illness, death and any repatriation costs.
6. Quarantine Events does not accept liability for any losses or additional expenses caused by delay or interruption to travel services due to weather conditions, sea storms, civil disturbances, industrial actions, strikes, wars, floods, airlines, sickness or other force majeure. Such losses or additional expenses are the responsibility of the passenger. Force majeure represents unusual and unforeseeable circumstances such as war or the threat of war, pandemics, riots, terrorist activity, civil unrest, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, flood, adverse weather conditions, etc.
7. You must show proof of your identification and insurance coverage at the time of your arrival. We will require:

• Name of insurance company
• Insurance policy number
• Insurance emergency or hotline telephone number

Hello. Our business involves organizing art Quarantines on Lazaretto Island, in Maó, Menorca (Spain). If you provide us with your personal data, we will protect and take care of it with the loyalty of a friend. We will use your email to send you free content and information about our activities, products, and services. By providing us with your data, you will not lose your rights, nor will we use it in a way that could harm you; you have our word.

We will only give out your information if the law so obliges us, for example when including you in our tax returns and on an invoice, in the case you are a client.

We will use your data to register you at Lazaretto’s art events. And if you do not stay there, we’ll use it to send you information about our events, and the topics that we typically study, that is, pictorial techniques, creative processes, art market, etc.

But by giving us your data you become part of our tribe, and as such, we will treat you according to our values, which you can learn more about here.

The purpose of this text is for you to know the conditions of our relationship.

What are we going to do with your data?

We will keep your data like a treasure. WE DON’T SELL YOUR DATA.

We appreciate all your support, because without you we could not fulfill our mission of transforming people and artists at our quarantines. If you want out, you can do so at any time. 2. What is the purpose of the processing of your personal data?

2.1. For what purposes will we process your personal data?

At Quarantine Events we obtain data directly from the interested parties, and we process the information they provide us with the following purposes:

• To send information requested through the forms provided on the Website.
• In case of contracting the goods and services offered through the Website, to maintain the contractual relationship, as well as the management, administration, information, provision, and improvement of service.
• To provide interested parties with access to free content and other content of interest.
• To send newsletters, as well as commercial communications regarding promotions and/or Website and arts sector advertising. The fields of these registries are of obligatory completion, being impossible to carry out the expressed purposes if such data is not provided. To fulfill these purposes we will elaborate a commercial profile based on the information provided. We do not use automated decisions based on the database profiles.

Yes, automated emails will be sent. We previously program this in order to send access to downloads, content, news, etc., Whether these are hosted on the Website or on platforms of third-party providers of said service.

Our obligations

We are committed to fulfill our obligations of secrecy, custody, and destruction. We adopt the security measures established by Spanish Royal Decree 1720/2007, of December 21st, which approves the Regulations for the development of the L.O.P.D. (Data Protection Law), to avoid loss or unauthorized access and processing.

Also, Quarantine will proceed to cancel, delete and block the data when this is inaccurate, incomplete or no longer relevant and necessary for its purpose.

Quarantine will not manage, store or process any bank data or bank cards from users in payments by credit card, Stripe® or PayPal®. In such cases, during the purchase process, we direct the user to a virtual payment platform, which will not imply communication or assignment of any data. Quarantine does not receive data regarding the credit card used for the transaction. We will not share or transfer any personal data to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except any necessary for the correct performance of the contracted service.

2.2. How long is personal data kept?

The personal data provided will be kept as long as the commercial relationship is maintained. Or until you request their deletion, and during the period for which legal liabilities may arise for the services rendered.

The user is advised that this website may show links to different portals other than Quarantine. In these cases, the company is not responsible for the possible processing of data that may take place on such Websites.

In the case you do not provide us with your information or do it in an incorrect or incomplete way, we will not be able to attend your request as it would thus be impossible to provide you with the requested information or carry out the contracting of the services.

The offer of products and services is based on the consent that we request, withdrawing such consent does not effect the execution of services or the delivery of pending products under any circumstances.

If the user accepts so expressly, the company may send via e-mail, SMS or App, commercial communications or the Newsletter with the entity services news. What kind of cookies do we use at quarantine.events?

Cookies are divided into session or permanent cookies, depending on their permanence. The first type expires when the user closes the browser. The second one expire depending on when the objective for which they serve is fulfilled, or when they are deleted manually. For example, for the user to be continually identified on the website.
