Hey.
This isn't some project put together by three lunatics.
It took four.
We started this in 2016.
Small team, small island, high standards, crazy idea.
(Being small is a good thing, no interest in scaling.)
We're not venerable. We're not respectable. But we've been doing this long enough to know who belongs here and who doesn't.
Director. Marketing.
Artist and restless mind by vocation.
Carles conceived Quarantine in 2016 and convinced the rest of us it was worth doing.
He's been a professional painter for +25 years, which means he's had plenty of time to develop strong opinions about what's wrong with most art education.
Sometimes we have to ground him, but we acknowledge that he has good ideas.
Marshall. Production.
Joan is nicknamed "Puck" by half the team, which tells you something about how he moves through space.
He worked with La Fura dels Baus for years and has a background in dance and fashion, which explains why he notices details the rest of us miss.
The "surprise" moments of Quarantine -the ones you didn't see coming but somehow needed- are usually his doing.
Coaching. Communication. Production.
Itziar will give you the most instructions on the island. She's the one making sure you know where to be, when, and what to bring with you.
Official hugger.
Don't be scared of her folders with color-coded schedules.
Customer service. Communication. Management.
Darren is the man who's always everywhere. He'll be the first person you meet when you arrive, and the one you'll go to when something breaks, goes missing, or needs solving.
He speaks three languages, manages logistics, and somehow knows where everyone is at all times.
Master of micro-management and lord of the Quarantine stage. We haven't figured out how he does that last part yet.
