Mentors instead of teachers.
Freedom instead of limitations.
Experiences instead of classes.
Challenges instead of exercises.
You know what happens when you do that? Your art changes.
Change the context, change your art.
Sometimes it’s a gentle nudge, sometimes it’s a brutal shove. But fail, it does not.
That’s how things work.
It can’t not happen. There’s no escape.
This mysterious island isn’t a school; you’re not here for classes, you’re here to reset. Because, and this is key, you’re here to break free from the context that’s currently limiting your art.
In this pressure cooker called Quarantine, I assure you: ch-ch-ch-ch-changes are guaranteed.
Because if your training is indistinguishable from that of your peers and you always do what’s expected, how on earth are you going to create anything different?
