Quarantine Art experiment run by top-notch artists on a real quarantine island in Menorca, Spain. We’re a group of artists, art lovers, and open-minded individuals. Our events include Art labs, private mentoring, masterclasses, talks and networking opportunities.
Quarantine was born with the commitment to offer what an academic education, due to its very nature and purpose, cannot:Â progress as an artist, not as an art student.

TestimonialsManifestoLazarettoLazaretto RulesAbout usWhat is a boot camp for artists?Legend has it that every artist must confront their own shadow on their path to perfection.
FEAR is your silent adversary: apprehension to risk, vulnerability, loss, rejection, and exposure; understanding that fear is not an obstacle, but instead part of the journey. Even successful artists face panic and feel vulnerable, just like you. Shadow work is an integral part of artistic growth.
Face your fears through creative challenges in our Art Lab, rediscovering inspiration within a fortifying community of fellow artists. Our program serves as a guide to identify and negotiate with your internal demons, fostering compassion and allowing your creativity and authenticity to thrive.
By liberating yourself from restrictive norms, your style and freedom will express a more pure and honest identity. Indeed, engaging in this inner exploration, you will find that embracing your shadows ultimately hones your Art.
Art Lab isn’t your conventional workshop or school. It’s 6 hours per day for seven days of intensive boot camp on a real Quarantine island. Here’s what sets us apart:
- Experience over rules: Art, like life, must be experienced to be understood. It’s personal, raw, and sometimes chaotic. Forget thinking “outside the box.” What box?
- Challenges to grow:Â Our challenges are kept secret to preserve their effectiveness. No right or wrong, only your ability to convey emotion. No mistakes, just decisions.
- Foster courage:Â The Art Lab fosters a courageous approach, challenging academic habits and encouraging artistic expression. We help you unlearn limiting beliefs and make more authentic decisions in your art.
Is it for you?
- Are you fed up with conventional methods that limit your creativity?
- Craving a deep connection with your art, to feel it, live it, breathe it?
- Ready for a tingle of adventure, novelty, and pure artistic exploration?
If you answered YES, Art Lab might be your place. It’s not for everyone. It’s for the bold, the passionate, the adventurers.
Don’t just take my word for it; check out the testimonials. See what others who’ve walked this path have to say. Let’s explore together.
If you don’t know what is a Boot Camp, read this article.
Private mentorships are INTENSE 40-minute sessions that concentrate on each individual’s artistic challenges and difficulties. You will have three mentorships over the week with three different mentors.
Enhance your intuition with the help of legendary artists who will refine your creative process.
What is mentoring?
- It’s like an exorcism (finding and dissolving inner demons).
- It’s about asking the right questions.
- It’s advice and guidance.
Picking the right mentors
Ideally, choose mentors who can shed light upon your darkness, not necessarily those you admire artistically. Mentors won’t teach you to paint like them, but instead how to unearth your unique painting style.
If you’re unsure about choosing mentors, we can provide helpful guidance. We know the landscape.

Darren GreenWhat’s the buzz?
Forget about rumors and whispers. Here's what those who've experienced Quarantine really have to say.
Our Quarantines are generating quite a stir, but they’re not for everyone. They are highly intense experiences and require an open mind. And we know from experience that not everyone is ready.
We select the most committed artists, not the most polished. We don’t care how good you are, how much success you’ve had, or even how many followers you have. What matters is what lights you up from the inside, and that you’re eager to learn and meet other lovers of Art. In short, why you do what you do.

Variety
We aim to put together a heterogeneous group. We love mixing applicants from different creative fields.
Expect not what you hope for
…Instead, we’ll give you what you need.
Looking for a traditional artist workshop? Oops, wrong spot! We spice things up here.
Quarantine is an experimental program with objectives that differ from those of art academies, art retreats, and traditional workshops.
At Quarantine, our focus is on the creative process and challenging what you’ve learned through traditional schooling. Here, you won’t be treated as a student.
If you still dream of a traditional workshop with your favorite artist, that’s okay. There are plenty of other places offering a more predictable and comfortable blue pill.
Brave enough for a mystery thrill? Stick with us, come and see what the island can do for you.
YES! Deal with it.
All these moments will be lost like cadmium tears in solvent…
Seriously, no exceptions. What happens on the island stays on the island. If you don’t feel ready for this, you best not enroll in this experience.
You will be working hard here. Unleash your attention. Really unplug and connect with what is here and now using your brain, not your phone. You may not think so now, but you’ll thank us for it.
NOPE
If you’re looking to learn techniques from your favorite artists, this program is not suitable for you.
NAH
If your main motivation is to be in a workshop with your mentors because you’re a big fan and want to watch them paint.
YUP
You’re committed to cultivating your unique artistic voice, ready to overcome fears and toxic influences, and eager to challenge conventions for a fresh creative approach.
Lost in thoughts? Geez, choose ADVENTURE!
